List of Scenarios for San Miguel to be Able to QUALIFY to the NEXT ROUND

SCENARIO #   1:
- 4 Way Tie at 4-7 between SMB, GlobalPort, Barako, and KIA
- Assumes that Barako loses to NLEX
- Assumes that San Miguel will win by 14 points against GlobalPort
- Assumes that Alaska will win against Ginebra
SMB GLO BAR KIA Getting the PD Total PD
SMB - (102-91)

KIA (88-78)

(89-100)

(86-95)

- +10-11-9 -10
Therefore: San Miguel Beermen needs to win against GlobalPort Batang Pier by at least 14 points to get the 8th spot in the elimination round. That would be +1+14 = +15 and GlobalPort's point differential (PD) will be +29-14 = +15. Using the Quotient System even though they both have +15 PD, SMB still wins the last spot.

SCENARIO #   2:

Therefore: San Miguel Beermen needs to win by a whopping +31 points against GlobalPort Batang Pier. That would be -17+31 = +14 for SMB, then GlobalPort will be +33-31 = 2. SMB will then get the 8th spot. This scenario, although is very impossible to be done, but who knows.

Therefore: SMB only needs to win by at least 11 points against GlobalPort Batang Pier to qualify to the next round. That would be -6+11 = +5 for SMB, and +51-11 = +41 for GlobalPort. They both advances to the next round. GlobalPort will be #7 and SMB will be #8.

SCENARIO # 4:
- 3 Way Tie between SMB, GlobalPort, and KIA
- Assumes that Barako wins against NLEX
