The three scenarios below are some of the situations that might happen if ever San Miguel, Tropang TNT, Ginebra, Alaska, and Rain or Shine got tied up with the 7-4 win-loss record in the elimination round of the 2016 Oppo PBA Commissioner's Cup. Note that this article is just for certain scenarios so please understand carefully and do not be misled by other teams which are not included for this citation.

List of 3 Scenarios if ever 4 or 5 Teams are tied at 7-4 win-loss record 2016 Oppo PBA Comm's Cup Elimination round

SCENARIO # 1
If Ginebra, Alaska, and TNT won their last game there will be 5 teams tied with the win-loss record of 7-4. These teams are SMB, TNT, Ginebra, ROS, and Alaska. And this scenario is decided by the so called Quotient System or Point Differential. Therefore computing the quotient (total points for divided by total points against) will give the results below:

ALA vs TNT 108-100
ALA vs SMB 96-116
ALA vs GIN 86-80
ALA vs ROS 128-102
Quotient = 418/398 = 1.0502 (2nd)

TNT vs ALA 100-108
TNT vs ROS 114-103
TNT vs GIN 107-92
TNT vs SMB 102-100 (assumes that TNT won against SMB with 2-point lead.)
Quotient = 423/403 = 1.0496 (3rd)

GIN vs ROS 103-92
GIN vs ALA 80-86
GIN vs TNT 92-107
GIN vs SMB 110-84
Quotient = 385/369 = 1.0434 (4th)

SMB vs ROS 105-108
SMB vs TNT 100-102 (assumes that SMB loses to TNT with 2-point deficit.
SMB vs ALA 116-96
SMB vs GIN 84-110
Quotient = 405/416 = 0.9736 (5th)

ROS vs ALA 102-128
ROS vs GIN 92-103
ROS vs SMB 108-105
ROS vs TNT 103-114
Quotient = 405/450 = 0.9 (6th)

If TNT only wins by just 1 point against SMB, Alaska will be seeded #2 and TNT will be #3, followed by Ginebra at #4, 5th SMB, and ROS 6th

SCENARIO #2
If TNT and Alaska won their last game. 4 teams will be tied with the win-loss record of 7-4. These teams are TNT, Alaska, SMB, and ROS.

If TNT only wins by just 2 points against SMB.

SMB vs ROS 105-108
SMB vs TNT 100-102 (assumes that TNT won against SMB by just 2 points)
SMB vs ALA 116-96
Quotient = 321/306 = 1.049 (2nd)

ALA vs TNT 108-100
ALA vs SMB 96-116
ALA vs ROS 128-102
Quotient = 332/318 = 1.044 (3rd)

TNT vs ALA 100-108
TNT vs ROS 114-103
TNT vs SMB 102-100  (assumes that TNT won against SMB by just 2 points)
Quotient = 316/311 = 1.016 (4th)

ROS vs ALA 102-128
ROS vs SMB 108-105
ROS vs TNT 103-114
Quotient = 313/347 = 0.902 (5th)

If TNT wins by 4 points against SMB.

ALA vs TNT 108-100
ALA vs SMB 96-116
ALA vs ROS 128-102
Quotient = 332/318 = 1.044 (2nd)

SMB vs ROS 105-108
SMB vs TNT 100-104 (assumes that TNT won against SMB by just 4 points)
SMB vs ALA 116-96
Quotient = 321/308 = 1.042 (3rd)

TNT vs ALA 100-108
TNT vs ROS 114-103
TNT vs SMB 104-100  (assumes that TNT won against SMB by just 4 points)
Quotient = 317/311 = 1.019 (4th)

ROS vs ALA 102-128
ROS vs SMB 108-105
ROS vs TNT 103-114
Quotient = 313/347 = 0.902 (5th)

If TNT wins by 14 points or more against SMB.

TNT vs ALA 100-108
TNT vs ROS 114-103
TNT vs SMB 114-100  (assumes that TNT won against SMB by just 14 points)
Quotient = 328/311 = 1.05466 (2nd)

ALA vs TNT 108-100
ALA vs SMB 96-116
ALA vs ROS 128-102
Quotient = 332/318 = 1.04402 (3rd)

SMB vs ROS 105-108
SMB vs TNT 100-114 (assumes that TNT won against SMB by just 14 points)
SMB vs ALA 116-96
Quotient = 321/318 = 1.00943 (4th)

ROS vs ALA 102-128
ROS vs SMB 108-105
ROS vs TNT 103-114
Quotient = 313/347 = 0.902 (5th)

SCENARIO # 3
If TNT and Ginebra won their last game. SMB, Ginebra, TNT, and ROS will be tied at 7-4 win-loss record.

TNT vs ROS 114-103
TNT vs GIN 107-92
TNT vs SMB 101-100 (assumes that TNT won against SMB with 1-point lead.)
Quotient = 322/295 = 1.0915 (2nd)

GIN vs ROS 103-92
GIN vs TNT 92-107
GIN vs SMB 110-84
Quotient = 305/283 = 1.0777 (3rd)

ROS vs GIN 92-103
ROS vs SMB 108-105
ROS vs TNT 103-114
Quotient = 303/322 = 0.9409 (4th)

SMB vs ROS 105-108
SMB vs TNT 100-101 (assumes that SMB loses to TNT with 1-point deficit.)
SMB vs GIN 84-110
Quotient = 289/319 = 0.9059 (5th)

Therefore TNT (2nd), Ginebra (3rd), ROS (4th), SMB (5th).
