The PBA Governors' Cup started in year 1993 and it was first won by San Miguel against Swift Mighty Meaty. Like the Commissioner's Cup it was also stopped in year 2003 and was replaced by Reinforced Conference. After 8 years, PBA brought it back in the 2010-2011 season wherein the Petron Blaze Boosters (also San Miguel) won it against Talk 'N Text Tropang Texters. On the other hand, San Mig Super Coffee Mixers or Purefoods Star Hotshots are the current defending champs in PBA's Governors' Cup.
