From the year 2009 to 2012, the total number of workers with contracts processed by POEA were 5,263,250 under the landbased workers, 1,859,831 under the new hires, 3,403,419 under the rehires and 1,793,945 under the seabased workers. All-in-all there are 12,320,445 workers with contracts that were processed by type in years 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012. On the other hand, the table below is consist of workers with contracts for the year 2013.

Analyzing the given data in the table above, there are more Filipinos who are applying to be an OFW working in land. Landbased workers include professional, technical, administrative, managerial, clerical, sales, service, agricultural, production and other workers. For the year 2013, POEA processed a whopping 1,773,939 worker contracts. For the seabased workers there are 467, 915 being processed. There is also a large number of OFW's who are rehired with a total of 1,211,304. And the newly hired stands at 562,635. For 2013 alone, the total number of Contracts Processed was 4,015,793.
