A new basketball league will start this coming August 7, 2016. CWBL or Countrywide Basketball League (patterned from MBA) is the name of the league and will be aired by ABS-CBN. There are only 6 teams that will be competing coming from countries all around the Philippines. Two (2) teams are coming from Cebu, and one (1) each from General Santos City, Davao, Laguna, and Bulacan. Please refer to the list below for more details.
