A lot of PBA fans reacted on the social media regarding the so called "taunting" that the PBA official slapped against SMB's shooter Marcio Lassiter in their Game 2 of 2017 PBA Philippine Cup Finals against the Brgy. Ginebra last February 26, 2017.

The taunting call ejected Lassiter out of the game who already scored a whopping 21 points and the game is only in the 3rd quarter. Before the call, he already led the rally of SMB and cut Ginebra's 20 plus deficit only to single digit.

After that, June Mar Fajardo, Alex Cabagnot, and Chris Ross all fouled out of the game. The Beermen almost won the game even without their primary guns.

Marcio denies the taunting, he said: "Well honestly, the fans still saw a great game, still happy, but kind of sad that I wasn’t out there on the court. I want to support my teammates and be there for my teammates and I wasn’t able to do that. Hopefully in Game 3, I can be there for the whole game. I’m not here to criticize the refs, that's their call, and I have to respect it but you guys see me, what I do. Clearly I did not taunt Sol. It shows how hungry we are. We never give up. We just got to recover and just grow from there."
