If SMB wins against Meralco, and NLEX wins against Star, then, Meralco, TNT, NLEX, SMB, and Ginebra will all have the win-loss record of 8-3. Via point differential (PD):

*lose to SMB

Therefore SMB will also be 2nd.



SCENARIO 3
If SMB lose against Meralco, and NLEX wins against Star, then, SMB will drop into 7-4 win-loss record tied with ROS.

Therefore SMB will be at 5th place.

SCENARIO 4
If SMB lose against Meralco, and NLEX lose against Star, then, SMB, ROS, NLEX, and Star will all have the win-loss record of 7-4. Via point differential (PD).

SMB vs NLEX -3
SMB vs Star -6
PD = -2

ROS vs SMB -7
ROS vs NLEX -8
ROS vs Star +4
