SMB and Magnolia will be facing in the FINALS of the 2017-2018 PBA Philippine Cup. The series will be a best-of-7 and the first team to win 4 games will be the champion.
For SMB, they are eyeing for another record which is a 4-peat in the Philippine Cup. They are currently tied with the TNT Katropa for winning the Philippine Cup 3x consecutively and a 4th win will give them the record for only the team to do such feat.
For Magnolia, winning the 2018 Philippine Cup will give Coach Chito Victolero his first ever PBA championship won as a coach. They will also going to break their title drought. The last time they won a title was way back last 2014 PBA Governors' Cup which is under Coach Tim Cone.
