As you can on the table below Magnolia led the 3-point shots made, rebounds, and the bench scoring. But NLEX dominated all the other departments.

As you can see on the table above, NLEX was given 32 free throws compared to only 6 for Magnolia. And the Hotshots turn the ball over 22 times while the Road Warriors got only 13 TOs.
Magnolia also fouled NLEX 33 times which gave the Road Warriors 32 free throws, wherein they converted 24 out of it.
These are the factors that really hurt Magnolia during Game 1 against NLEX. Aside from these Marc Pingris and Justin Melton got injured during this game.
Because of familiarity, Coach Yeng Guaio was also able to contained Paul Lee, wherein "The Lee-thal weapon" only scored 8 points.
