The GAME 2 of the best-of-7 semi-final series between the San Miguel Beermen and the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel was very exciting. The Beermen was able to win the game even though they are trailing the whole time after Marcio Lassiter tipped the ball in, in the dying seconds of the over time period.

The game stats for this game was very close except for the 3 points wherein SMB hit 9 while Ginebra got only 6 (a difference of 9 points), the given free throws wherein SMB got 29 compared to Ginebra's only 18, the total assists wherein Ginebra got 32 while SMB got only 21.

For this game I think the most costly one was the turnover committed by Ginebra specially during the overtime period wherein Joe Devance was unable to inbound the ball and was called for a 5-second violation.

SMB capitalized a whopping 30 points from Ginebra's mistakes while Ginebra got 23 from SMB's turnovers.

The breakout game of Prince Caperal was spoiled wherein he scored a career-high of 26 points.

For GAME3 which is on March 13 at MOA Arena, it is a must-win game situation for Ginebra because they cannot afford to go down 0-3 against SMB. A win will give them a breather and can even take the tie in GAME4.
