For this reason, they implemented some rule changes in the 2018 PBA Commissioner's Cup. The rules are about the goaltending, the 30-second timeouts, and the pulling of other player's jersey.

1. From three 30-second timeouts each team only has two now.

2. Tapping the board is not a goaltending anymore.


3. Pulling of player's jersey is now just an ordinary foul.
