Here is the list of all the possible scenarios that the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel will be facing entering the quarterfinal round of the 2018 PBA Commissioner's Cup.

IF SMB won vs Magnolia and lost vs Blackwater, they will be 6-5. Then Ginebra won vs GlobalPort they will be 6-5 also. SMB defeated Ginebra during elimination, therefore, SMB is #5, Ginebra #6.

IF SMB lost vs Magnolia and won vs Blackwater they will be 6-5. Then Magnolia won vs SMB and won vs NLEX, they will be 6-5 also. And Ginebra won vs GlobalPort, they are also 6-5. Via quotient system, Ginebra will be #5, SMB/Magnolia 6/7 spot.




IF SMB lost vs Magnolia and lost vs Blackwater, they will be 5-6. Then Magnolia won vs SMB and lost vs NLEX, they will be 5-6. And Ginebra lost vs GlobalPort, are also at 5-6. GlobalPort will be 6-5 which is #5. Ginebra will be #6. SMB/Magnolia is at 7/8 spot.

IF Magnolia lost vs SMB and won vs NLEX, they will be 5-6. Then Ginebra lost vs GlobalPort, they will be 5-6 also. Via win over the other Ginebra will be #7, Magnolia will be #8.
