Here is the (results) list of all the passers for the Civil Service Examination Paper and Pencil Test (CSE-PPT) Professional and Subprofessional levels held last March 12, 2017.

The first version of the exam (CSE-PPT) for the year 2017 examination was just held last March 12, 2017 in the different testing centers nationwide (in all regions).



According to the Civil Service Commission there is a total of 230,736 examinees who took the said examination. There are 197,924 professional level takers (1st timers, and repeaters), and 32,812 subprofessional examinees. A total of 60 testing centers was used to conduct the examination for all the promising future public (government) servants.

As usual, the exam started from 7:30 am to 10:40 am (a total of 3 hours and 10 minutes) for the Professional level while for the subprofessional it started also from 7:30 am and ended at 10:10 am (a total of 2 hours and 40 minutes). All examinees were only allowed to bring (during the examination day) black ball pens, and valid ID card (same ID during the filing of application). If different ID was presented during the exam, only the following ID's were allowed to be used.

- Driver’s License
- Passport
- PRC License
- SSS I.D.
- GSIS I.D. (UMID)
- Voter’s I.D.
- BIR I.D. (ATM type/TIN card type with picture)
- PhilHealth I.D. (with the bearer’s name, clear picture, signature and PhilHealth number)
- Company/Office I.D.
- School I.D.
- Police Clearance/Police Clearance Certificate
- Postal I.D.
- Barangay I.D.
- NBI Clearance

The types (kinds) of examination are vocabulary; grammar and correct usage; paragraph organization; reading comprehension; analogy/logic (i.e., word association, identifying assumptions and conclusions, logic, data interpretation); and numerical reasoning (i.e., basic operations, word problems).

Takers of the Sub-professional level should also review on the same subject areas except analogy/logic, in place of which is clerical operations (i.e., filing, spelling).

Examinees for both levels should also review on the Philippine Constitution, the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees (Republic Act No. 6713), peace and human rights issues and concepts, and environment management and protection, all of which form part of General Information questions, the CSC said.

The passing rate is 80.

Here is the list of the volume of examinees for all regions last March 12, 2017.

1. NCR or National Capital Region - 34,827, or 15.09%
2. Region 4A and Region 4B (Calabarzon & Mimaropa) - 32,654 examinees or 14.15%
3. Region 3 or the Central Luzon - 15,703 or 6.81%
4. Region 6 (Western Visayas) - 15,626 or 6.77%
5. Region 5 (Bicol Region) - 15,351 or 6.65 %
6. Region 7 (SOCCSKSARGEN) - 14,227 or 6.17%
7. All remaining regions - 102,348 or 44.36%

On the other hand if you missed taking this examination, the second version is going to be held this coming August 16, 2017. The filing of application for the said examination starts this coming April 3 and ends on June 2.

Normally, after the examination date, the Civil Service Commission releases the EXAM RESULTS after 40 to 45 days of office days (working days) only (Sundays, Saturdays, and holidays are not counted).
